24-Hour Support Services Willo Houseing Incorporated: A Subsidiary of Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin
Willo Apartments are a unique concept in the creation of housing for persons having physical disabilities. Developed by Willo Housing Inc. and Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin, these apartments were designed by HGM Architecture, Inc. to provide independent living facilities for individuals with physical handicaps.
This community living concept provides separate, individual residences within each unit. Each row-house is considered an individual unit. Each unit has its own front and backyards.
Location and Accessibility
Located on the corners of Mt. Vernon and Tennessee Avenue in Oshkosh, residents of Willo have easy accessibility to the everyday things in life. City buses are available so that residents can take part in city activities, public entertainment, shopping and visiting. The residents have been included as part of the neighborhood and community as individuals.
Qualifications and Rent
Potential residents must be classified as both having a physical disab and low income. Rent fluctuates depending on each resident's financial situation and is HUD Section 8 subsidized.
